I started LELE’S after being inspired by the young food sellers I came across whilst working as Marketing Director for Pop Brixton. A loss in the family gave me a fresh perspective and the kick needed to make the move and LELE’S was born.

 

Being Italian I grew up in a culture where a large emphasis is placed on sharing food in good company so I knew I wanted to create a place where people could sit and have a good natter while enjoying simple good honest food. I’d been missing the human touch in my previous office job and love the fact that opening LELE’S has given me the chance to connect with new people every day.

 

We started out as a vegetarian cafe and made the move to go fully vegan in December 2017. It’s been a real journey and incredibly fulfilling to have the opportunity to have an impact and promote veganism and ethical consumerism, which has been a personal journey of discovery as I’ve felt the need to inform myself better and look into suppliers given the responsibility to your customers that I think comes with running a small business.

 

In 2022 after working in TV alongside Gordon Ramsay, I have turned LELE'S in a consultancy service that allows me to travel and work with exciting businesses across the world, spreading my passion for food and sustainability.
