How to remove stains naturally

You know that feeling when your favourite top gets stained? I think I can help you with that! Today, I want to share how to remove stains naturally.

Too often many of us tend to throw away things far too easily. If a piece of clothing is stained, chances are we can replace it quickly and cheaply. But this just creates more waste when it’s completely avoidable. You don’t need to pay a laundrette to remove stains for you. Plus, all these methods are natural, which means no nasty chemical and again, less waste from plastic bottles and containers.

Most of these ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. I’ve also mentioned them before in other hacks, making them extremely versatile. Basically, keep all of these in your cupboard at all times, they will come in handy when you least expect it!

White Vinegar

An old pal is back! In addition to being a great all purpose cleaner, white vinegar is also an amazing stain remover. White vinegar (and not apple cider or any other type!) is very gentle on fabric and it’s perfect to remove underarm stains and odours. It can also help whitening and brightening your clothes — simply add it to your clothes’ final rinse when doing the laundry!

Baking Soda

Is there anything baking soda can’t do? I promise you I see it used everywhere. Apparently, baking soda is also an amazing detergent booster and will help you leave your clothes smelling fresh and clean! Just add a little scoop to your washing et voila!

Table Salt

Maybe you don’t know this about me, but I’ll never refuse a good glass of red wine. It’s my go-to drink and I don’t mind being an Italian cliché! Unfortunately, red wine is also a great stainer. But, if you have table salt at the ready, just sprinkle as much as you want directly on the spillage, let it absorb the liquid and then wash it out before putting the clothes in the washing. It will be just like magic!

Lots of love,

Vxx
