Recipe Ideas: Doughnut Mix Cinnamon and Apple

We are sooooo excited about our new flavour for our cake mixes that we are literally experimenting with some many different ingredients! Doughnuts are such a great treat for winter, the perfect companion to a hot cup of tea or coffee! And today, we’re making Apple cinnamon Doughnuts!

Apples are incredibly good for you, and eating them is linked to a lower risk of many major diseases, including diabetes and cancer. If this was not a good enough reason to eat a apple a day, apples are also yummy and inexpensive.

Ingredients to cook one apple

- 1 tbsp of ground cinnamon

- 2 tbsp of brown sugar

- 1 tbsp of ground ginger

- 1 and ½ tsp of ground cardamom

- 10ml orange juice – lemon would do too

Ingredients

- Sunflower oil

- Apple cider vinegar

- Plant-based milk

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 160°.

  2. Empty 1 LELE’S Doughnut Mix into a bowl and add the sunflower oil, apple cider vinegar and plant-based milk according to the instructions at the back of the packaging.

  3. Cut one apple and mix cinnamon, sugar, cardamom and ginger in a tray bake – add orange juice (10ml) and put cook in the oven for 10 minutes at 180.

  4. Add the apple to your mix. Scoop 1 tbsp of the donut batter into each donut shell and bake for about 12 minutes. Insert a thin skewer to check the donuts are ready.

  5. Once the donuts are cooked through, leave them to cool and enjoy!
